See How Refuse Has Taken Over Abesan River In Lagos

Last Tuesday there was rain in some parts of Lagos the kind of rain Nigerians refer to as showers of blessing.
The people of Ipaja under the Alagbado/Oke Odo LCDA are somehow worried, a reader sent in this picture which shows the high rate of refuse been dumped in the Abesan river.
For most people used to this area, the bridge is between Church bus-stop and the popular Command.
It is sad that this popular river that use to see different activities such as swimming, fishing, washing of clothes and fetching of water has been reduced to a canal. See another picture below;
